No discussions on cabinet reshuffle- Nga

IPOH: Local Government Development minister Nga Kor Ming said that there has been no discussion on a cabinet reshuffle.

"Cabinet reshuffle is at the full power, full discretion of the Prime Minister. As such, only one person in this world can answer this question which is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"There is no discussion about that. That is the sole prerogative of the Prime Minister," he said in a press conference after attending #PR1MAkita Aspiration Unity Run at Residensi PR1MA Meru here, today.

Yesterday, Anwar alluded that he would undertake a cabinet reshuffle of his unity government, which celebrated its first-anniversary last month, before the end of this year.

On a separate note, when asked if the affordable homes under the 1Malaysia People's Housing Programme (PR1MA) house could be accommodated as a homestay or rent, Nga said that it was wrong for the homeowners to do so.

"All affordable houses built by PR1MA and SPNB (Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad) are for buyers or owner-occupiers only.

"Buyers are not allowed to sell for profit because the houses sold by PR1MA are subsidised by the government and they can't be misused.

"Secondly, PR1MA houses can't be rented out. If you buy (the house), you need to stay there. If everyone buys PR1MA houses then rents them out, until the end of the world, the housing crisis will never be solved," he added.
