KUALA LUMPUR: The government has reported a total of 6.5 million applications received for the RM100 eMadani credit as of the latest update.

The e-Madani is a government initiative to disburse RM100 in e-credit to 10 million Malaysians aged 21 and above, with income below RM100,000 per annum, and who are not recipients of the past eBeliaRahmah credit.

It is a one-off incentive to encourage cashless transactions.

The initiative is made possible via the Madani Economy Framework, which was announced in July.
