Cheeky personality quiz spotlights MPs in lighthearted manner

LUMI NEWS, Malaysia's leading news aggregation app, launched a personality quiz to let the public discover which local MP best resembles them.

Building on the virality of Lumi Parliament videos, the news app aims to dominate the coverage of Malaysia's political scene through the online personality quiz that spotlights political figures.

Inspired by the popular Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality assessment, the Lumi News quiz highlights individuals' personalities by comparing them to 16 of the most popular Parliament members.

Named the Malaysian Parliament Type Indicator (MPTI) quiz, it is available for everyone to try out for free.

Lumi News' chief executive officer Judith Yeoh said: "As the year was coming to an end, we wanted to introduce a memorable way for Malaysians to have fun matching themselves with different personalities they are used to seeing in the Parliament.

"Over the past year, Lumi News has grown to become a household name through the virality of our Parliament videos on social media and I am proud that the team has developed a quiz like this for greater engagement between Malaysians and the political scene."

Lumi News' content specialist Samantha Yeoh said: "We believe that staying informed about politics can be both educational and enjoyable."

"This is reflected in the virality of our Lumi Parliament videos on social media. If anything, our personality quiz adds another fun twist to the political landscape, allowing users to connect with Malaysian MPs in a lighthearted and relatable way."
