Husband expresses concern over Siti Nor Hafiza's condition

KUALA LUMPUR: Mohd Roshdi Ramli, the husband of entertainment journalist Siti Nor Hafiza Kamarudin who is reportedly in a critical state in a hospital in London, has expressed concern about his wife's health.

Mohd Roshdi, who is still in London, said that his wife's condition has declined and her blood pressure was extremely low.

"I am concerned about her chances of survival," he told Bernama.

He elaborated that Siti Nor Hafiza is battling a recurrence of breast cancer, which reemerged after six years of being in remission.

"My wife has a history of breast cancer. After six years, it resurfaced and has now affected her liver. The cancer has also spread to her head and entire body," he said.

Siti Nor Hafiza, 40, is currently being treated at Charing Cross Hospital, London, after reportedly losing consciousness at Heathrow Airport yesterday while en route to Malaysia after a vacation.

The journalist, associated with the portals Boom Malaysia and Jurnal Malaysia owned by KRU Media, was selected to receive a sponsored travel package with her family to London and departed with her husband and their two children in the middle of this month.

In the meantime, Mohd Roshdi expressed gratitude to Education Malaysia London director Assoc. Prof Dr Mohd Hanafi Ahmad Damanhuri for allowing him and his children to stay at the Malaysia Hall for three days.

He also mentioned that he will look for a hotel near the hospital where his wife is receiving treatment. -- Bernama
