Johor and Sarawak collaborate on infrastructure development

JOHOR BARU: The Johor government is actively pursuing innovative technologies and systems to enhance its infrastructure. This commitment was highlighted by Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh, chairman of the Public Works, Transport, and Infrastructure Committee, emphasising the importance of these advancements in improving the state's infrastructure quality.

During a recent visit to Kuching, Sarawak, the Johor delegation, led by Fazli, met with Sarawak's Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas. This meeting facilitated an exchange of ideas and experiences on managing high-impact infrastructure projects.

Discussions included insights from Sarawak's Pan Borneo Highway project, providing valuable guidance for Johor's expansion of the North-South Highway from Johor Baru to Simpang Renggam and the construction of additional lanes on the Senai-Desaru Highway.

The collaborative spirit was mutual, with Sarawak expressing interest in learning from Johor's infrastructure expertise.

Mohamad Fazli expressed gratitude to Sarawak's Deputy Premier for the warm reception and the willingness to share experiences, underscoring the collaborative approach between the two states as integral members of the Federal Government Cabinet.

This partnership marks a significant step towards bolstering Malaysia's infrastructure through shared knowledge and strategies.
