Sorrowful send-off: Family and friends mourn co-pilot Roshaan

JOHOR BARU: In a sombre ceremony, Roshaan Singh Raina, the co-pilot who tragically lost his life in the recent light aircraft crash was cremated at the Hindu Crematory in Jalan Kebun Teh here today.

Roshaan's grieving family, including his parents, two siblings, and numerous relatives, joined by approximately 100 mourners, escorted his body to the crematorium around 1pm.

The atmosphere at the crematorium was heavy with sorrow, as those present paid their final respects to the 42-year-old co-pilot.

The day began with prayers at Roshaan's family home in Sunway Bukit Lenang, Iskandar Puteri, where the Sikh community gathered for the 'Ardas' prayer.

Roshaan's father, Dr K.N. Singh, a well-known gynaecologist in the state capital, and his wife Jyotika Patel, chose not to speak to the media during this difficult time.

The pilot of the ill-fated BK 160 Gabriel aircraft, 30-year-old Daniel Yee Hsiang Khoon, also lost his life in the crash at the Kampung Tok Muda, in Klang, as reported by Selangor police chief Commissioner Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.
