Lemang seller's wife hit by out-of-control car

HULU SELANGOR: The wife of a lemang seller sustained bodily injuries when a Proton X70 crashed into the car she was seated in near a petrol station in Kalumpang, close to midnight yesterday.

Hulu Selangor police chief Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim explained that the 11:30 pm incident happened when the 58-year-old Proton X70 driver lost control of the vehicle while en route to Kuala Kubu Baru.

"The driver crashed into the Perodua Kelisa, where the 40-year-old woman and her one-year-old son were seated.

"The car, belonging to her husband, was parked next to his lemang stall.

"She sustained injuries on her chin and calf, while her son escaped unhurt," he said.

Faizal stated that the case is currently under investigation under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959, pertaining to the failure to exercise due control over the movements of a vehicle.
