KUALA LUMPUR: The son of former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Ghafar Baba, Mohd Sofi, passed away today at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) at 12.14am.
According to his elder brother, Datuk Tamrin Ghafar, the deceased will be taken to their family home in Bukit Pantai.
Earlier, at 8.45am, Sofi's body was taken to Masjid Saidina Umar, Bukit Damansara, Tamrin said.
"The funeral will take place at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery after Friday prayers," he added.
Sofi was the fifth child out of 11 siblings.
