GLC to offer discounts on necessities to Sabah civil servants

KOTA KINABALU: A government-linked company plans to offer special discounts on the purchase of basic necessities to civil servants in Sabah.

Kojasa Holdings Bhd chief executive officer Sim Fui said the company has introduced several basic necessities such as mineral water, cooking oil, rice, and so on that are sold at low prices.

He said the plan was an initiative by the company to alleviate the burden of civil servants, especially those who are burdened by the rising cost of living.

"We will also organise a special benefit program for government employees. This aims to develop the Kojasa brand because this is a product of the Sabah government," he said, adding that the group could do so at Kojasa Mart through a mobile application.

Sim was speaking to the media after a courtesy visit to Yang diPertua Negeri Sabah Tun Juhar Mahiruddin at Menara Kinabalu here.

Meanwhile, he said that the company will also introduce products with the latest designs to export them.

Kojasa was established in 1978 and is one of the subsidiaries of Qhazanah Sabah Bhd.
