KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a man being confronted for allegedly defecating in a surau went viral recently.
The man allegedly acted aggressively when he was asked about the incident, believed to have happened in the Klang Valley.
He was recorded giving chase and entering a restaurant in an attempt to catch the person filming him.
Eventually he gave up, after the person recording the video repeatedly said he would report the matter to the police.
The video posted on X @MALAYSIAVIRALLL garnered close to 400,000 views so far.
Netizens questioned whether the person who committed the act was actually sane.
"Is he alright or not? How can one think of doing so randomly, not at a toilet?" questioned X user @May44sure in the replies.
Another X user @thisisPyqaJml said that the person recording should have shouted for help from the people around in order to apprehend him.
"If he was attacked, at least there are people to back him up.
"This is so irritating, he did it and then wants to beat people up," she said.
In another X post on @nanmanjoi8715, it was said that the local council authorities have cleaned up the defecations from the surau.
