#NSTviral: One-armed delivery rider surprises elderly woman with act of kindness [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A one-armed P-hailing delivery rider's compassionate act towards an elderly lady at a petrol station has garnered widespread praise on social media.

The encounter, showcasing the rider's resilience and generosity despite facing physical challenges, was believed to have taken place in Kerteh, Terengganu.

The two-minute and twelve-second video showed the rider, known as the "King of One Hand," pulling up to the petrol pump with his left arm in a sling.

Shortly after, an elderly woman on a motorcycle arrived at the station, positioning herself behind the rider in the queue.

The rider, eager to perform a good deed, attempted to fill up fuel for both motorcycles.

Despite encountering a minor glitch at the fuel pump, he managed to resolve the issue with the cashier's assistance, filling up the elderly woman's motorcycle to her grateful surprise.

As he was filling up fuel for her motorcycle, the elderly woman thanked him for his kind deed and posed a question to him.

"If I may ask, what happened to your arm, did you break it?" she asked.

He responded by saying that he lost his left arm in a previous accident and the arm in the sling was a prosthetic.

The woman then commended his determination and strength, expressing well wishes for his continued resilience.

"Yes makcik, thank you. Please pray that I will be on the receiving end of prosperity," he replied graciously.

After that, they both proceeded to get on their respective motorcycles as the rider ensured that the elderly woman was safely on her machine before riding off himself.

The TikTok video, shared three days ago by the rider @ahmadnabil400 (King of One Hand), has since gained significant traction, amassing nearly 23,000 likes, 860 comments, and close to 280 shares.

Netizens flooded the comments section with praises for the rider, emphasising his positivity and kindness despite being a Person with Disabilities (PwD).

@ilahgirl commented, "Not everyone can be as great as you, but you can be even greater than others. May Allah S.W.T protect you and ease all that you do."

@Norhazana Ahmad added, "May you be blessed with good health and may your daily work and tasks be eased."

@Johari expressed admiration, saying, "You are great. We don't know if we can be as strong as you, especially after all that you have been through. Keep it up."
