KUALA LUMPUR: A video depicting a house engulfed in flames in Kampung Lahar Yooi just before Ramadan has stirred sympathy among netizens.
The viral video on TikTok account @paansam shows several children, believed to be children of owners of the house, crying as they witness their almost engulfed home.
Netizens were deeply moved as they witnessed members of the public offering comfort to the children, expressing sympathy for the family's difficult situation.
TikTok user @syazwanie_91 said: "This happened in my village. May the family remain steadfast in facing His tests. Tomorrow is the start of school.
The day after tomorrow is fasting. The family is facing a heavy test. May the family's affairs be made easy."
"Who is the Village Head? YB, the Imam, or anyone else. Open a donation fund. We want to help," said user @Atokchini.
"It hurts to see the kids crying. Eid is approaching.
