KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist was left severely injured in an accident involving a lorry and a sports utility vehicle (SUV), which was caught on a dashcam.
The incident is believed to have occurred in Jalan Terap-Serdang in Serdang, near Kulim, Kedah.
X user @HezeriSamsuri shared the video of the incident captured by the front dashcam of the vehicle behind the lorry.
"This is crazy. Luckily, there's a dashcam and evidence. Hopefully, @PDRMsia @PDRMsia_Trafik can trace this," he wrote.
The 20-second video shows the SUV overtaking a lorry on a double line.
The motorcyclist, who was coming from the opposite direction, could be seen trying to avoid a collision with the SUV and struck the lorry instead.
He was thrown off his motorcycle and fell onto the road, while the lorry crashed into the road shoulder.
The driver of the SUV then fled the scene. The New Straits Times is contacting the police for comment.
