KOTA BARU: About 500 Umno Kota Baru division members participated in a flag run from here to Pengkalan Chepa today, held in conjunction with the party's 71st anniversary.
Led by Kota Baru Umno division vice chief Datuk Rosmadi Ismail, the runners started their journey at 10.30am, carrying 71 Umno flags, from the Umno building to Jalan Atas Paloh.
Here, Rosmadi handed over the flag to Pengkalan Chepa Umno vice chief Wan Shahrulzaman Wan Abdul Aziz.
Wan Shahrulzaman said the flag run would continue tomorrow in Pengkalan Chepa.
"About 500 people will take part in the run and they will hand over the flag to our counterpart in Bachok," he said.
