Keep mum on internal discussion: Mat Sabu

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) leaders and members should not make public on any of its internal discussions and meetings.

The opposition pact’s deputy president Mohamad Sabu said such discussions should be done and conducted behind closed doors and undertaken in a spirit of consensus.

The Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) president said all parties should refrain from releasing public statements either to the media or via their social media on proceedings that had taken place.

“Let’s solve everything internally and find the best solutions during the round-table discussion for the benefit PH Selangor.

“I am confident and believe, that patience, mutual respect and wisdom will facilitate the process for us to succeed in tackling our common enemy. Our real enemy is Umno / Barisan Nasional,” he said in a statement today.

Tension is brewing among PH leaders in Selangor over seat allocations in Selangor for the upcoming 14th general election.

PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had accused Selangor PAN state chief Izham Hashim of lying at their meetings on seat allocations.

Azmin claimed that Selangor PH had met four times to discuss on seat allocations while Izham maintained that PH leaders only held election meetings, and not meetings on seat allocations.

Earlier this week, PH chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said a special committee had been set up to resolve misunderstanding between parties over seat allocations in Selangor for the coming polls.
