Selangor MB congratulates new PH counterparts; lauds 'New Malaysia'

SHAH ALAM: Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali has congratulated his counterparts in Johor, Kedah, Negri Sembilan and Perak; and will soon extend his well wishes to the leaders of Melaka, Penang and Sabah.

In a statement today, Azmin said he welcomed the new state governments following Pakatan Harapan’s win in the recent 14th general election.

“Before the 14th general election, Selangor and Penang were the two lone Pakatan Harapan states.

“Following the historic results of May 9, our family expanded dramatically and now, more than half the states of Malaysia, as well as the federal government, are under the rule of Pakatan Harapan and Warisan.

“This week, I made calls to congratulate my fellow Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers in Johor, Kedah, Negri Sembilan and Perak. I also hope to speak to the leaders of Melaka, Penang and Sabah soon. I have expressed my solidarity and fraternity with them and their new responsibilities,” he said.

Azmin also pledged to visit each of them in turn.

“It is my hope that we can move forward together in the spirit of brotherhood and forge synergies towards our mutual prosperity and progress in this New Malaysia,” he added.
