SHAH ALAM: Former Chief of Bersatu Selangor Leadership Council, Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari, today declared his support for the leadership of the Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
Abdul Rashid, who is also the member of the State Legislative Assembly for Selat Klang, said that the decision was made after examining current developments and considering several key factors.
"This decision is made willingly without any coercion after I reviewed the Address of His Royal Highness The Sultan of Selangor, praising the administration of the Selangor State Government for being on the right track, for the progress of the state and the welfare of the people," he said.
However, Abdul Rashid said that he remains committed as a member of Bersatu and will continue to serve as the representative for Selat Klang.
