IPOH: Independent Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Gantang, Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, has denied claims he joined PKR.
In a statement today, Syed Hussin said that reports by several online portals and posts on social media platforms announcing his move to PKR are simply untrue.
“I am still an independent MP and have yet to join any party. I never applied to join any party after quitting from Umno and Barisan Nasional on June 27, 2018.
“Those who made the allegation must (act responsibly) and retract the (claim) in order to clear my name,” he said.
Reports on Syed Hussin’s supposed political move were thought to have been confirmed earlier when Perak PKR chairman, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, released a statement congratulating him on joining PKR.
