Takiyuddin to Bukit Gantang MP: Prove claims that more PN reps will declare support for Anwar soon

KOTA BARU: Pas today challenged everyone, including Bukit Gantang member of parliament Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, to prove claims that several more Perikatan Nasional elected representatives will declare their support for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Party secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said allegations by anyone about anything should be accompanied by evidence.

"Anyone can made such statements and as far as Pas is concerned, no MP has come forward (to declare their support for the prime minister other than the five Bersatu representatives)."

Takiyuddin then sarcastically said he felt sad for Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz.

"I thought that Bukit Gantang would be in the new cabinet lineup (announced by Anwar recently) but I was wrong. I thought with so much support (for the prime minister), he would be rewarded but (now) l feel sad for him."

Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz had recently claimed that there were seven or eight more MPs from PN who would soon express their support for Anwar.

However, he had refused to reveal their identities, nor whether they were from Pas or Bersatu.
