'Amanah committed to Shared Prosperity Vision'

SHAH ALAM: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining stability towards realising the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030.

Its president, Mohamad Sabu, said the government’s aim of achieving the shared prosperity vision could only be achieved by maintaining the country’s stability.

“The widening income gap and opportunities, be it among the races, or different regions and states, are being addressed through the Shared Prosperity Vision as the national development agenda.

“Opportunities to rebuild the country could only be achieved with stability and peace.

“This is in addition to attracting both domestic and foreign investments, social development and economic activities to generate growth and enhance the people’s per capita income.

“With this (Shared Prosperity) vision, the country’s wealth would be distributed in a more inclusive manner across the segments and people, instead of being enjoyed only by certain groups,” he said in his policy speech at the opening of the Amanah convention, this afternoon.

Mohamad, better known as Mat Sabu, also outlined strategies in strengthening the party, stressing the importance of teamwork, as well as having competent leaders, with charisma, creativity and integrity.

He said the party needed quality members who were hardworking, independent, supported collective decisions and were courteous when giving feedback to leaders.

Mohamad said the strengthening of the party should also be done at the structural level and the characteristic of Amanah was dynamic.
