Amanah delegate leaves audience in stitches with remark on flying car

SHAH ALAM: Rompin division chief Mohd Fadzli Mohd Ramly stole the limelight at the Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) National Convention 2019 after he questioned the government on its need to implement certain projects.

He said the people are confused as to what to make of government initiatives such as the flying car project.

"We do not feel the togetherness with the government in carrying out programmes laid out anymore. We at the grassroots level are ashamed of defending the flying car project issue.

"This is one of the useless programmes carried out by the government. Are we not ashamed to defend such an issue to the rakyat?

"That is why the rakyat is still confused. I also want to ask the ministers – what are the programmes for those in rural areas?" he asked.

Fadzli also said that Pakatan Harapan will not remain as the nation’s future administration if it is not serious in implementing initiatives and principles for the benefit of the people.

He also urged the ministers of the day, especially those in Amanah, to voice out the views of the people and to be more serious in carrying out their duties.

Fadzli also lambasted the lack of cooperation among several high-ranking government officers, thus making ministers appear weak.

"I call upon the ministers not to lose focus on such matters, and I urge them not to neglect the party's agenda and policies.

"Without them, the party cannot move (forward). I urge the leaders to speak the people's language," he added.

Fadzli also urged Amanah to strengthen and stabilise its ties with the government, especially following PKR’s infighting.

"Amanah should be the strong "glue" to advise component parties to ease the conflict in their parties.

"The people have had enough of ‘chess-playing’ in the power transition (issue), let alone the crisis in PKR. Amanah should stay as a strong party that brings harmony for Pakatan Harapan," he added.
