Hrithik Roshan's concert postponement a relief for Malaysian football

KUALA LUMPUR: The eagerly anticipated "Stars on Fire" concert featuring Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday, has been postponed, bringing a sigh of relief to the Malaysian football community.

Other renowned performers, including Vaani Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, Malaika Arora, and Sanya Malhotra, were also set to grace the stage.

The decision to postpone the concert ensures that the playing field remains in optimal condition for the Malaysia Cup final on Dec 8 between defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Terengganu.

The announcement of the concert's postponement was made by event organisers, Yess Boss Group, through their social media channels.

JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who generously contributed zeon zoysia grass for the National Stadium, shared images on Instagram depicting the pitch's condition following the Coldplay concert on Nov 22.

Despite concerns, the Malaysian Stadium Corporation (MSC) reassured that the pitch will be in impeccable condition to host the Malaysia Cup final.
