Terengganu cycling coach dies

DUNGUN: State cycling coach Rozimi Omar, 42, had passed away after suffering a heart attack at the Putrajaya Hospital last night.

Rozimi and his five cyclists from Terengganu had just arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 5pm yesterday.

One of the cyclists, Ahmad Syazlin Awang Illah , 18, said the team and Rozimi were attending the BMX Acc cycling competition in Myanmar and had just arrived at KLIA.

"We arrived at our manager's house in Putrajaya to fetch our van for returning home when he suddenly collapsed," he said when contacted.

"Rozimi was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead at 8.20pm,"he said.

He added that a post mortem will be carried out at the hospital. Rozimi's body will be sent to his home in Tanah Lot, Dungun.
