RAUB: Continuous heavy rain for two hours resulted in flash floods in the town of Raub last night.
The Raub district disaster management committee secretariat said the heavy rains which began at 8.40pm last night resulted in drains overflowing in the town.
"The Pahang Civil Defence Force (APM) has been monitoring the flash floods that has occured here in the town of Raub and immediately moved victims who were at risk by opening a temporary flood relief centre after some housing areas became inundated with flood waters.
"Eight families involving 10 victims have been moved to the temporary flood relief centre at 11.40pm," read the statement.
