#Showbiz: Sharifah Sakinah disses fashionably-late-comers at KL Fashion Week

KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week is in full swing as celebrities, fashionistas and social media influencers strut their way to the fashion venue at Pavilion KL to show their support for local designers.

But while the glam affair is the ultimate place for fashion folks to mingle and be seen, it doesn’t excuse one to ignore the rules and etiquette of a fashion show event, lamented actress Sharifah Sakinah.

The 'Isteri vs Tunang' actress who is a regular guest at KLFW over the years took to Instagram to rant about certain unacceptable behaviour among guests, regardless of their social status.

“Dear fashionista, VIP clients, social media influencers, any important players in the industry and all attendees PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE respect the value of time.

“Imagine the preparation behind this huge event annually. A lot of people put a lot of hard work for months - the event organisers, designers, models.

“So please arrive on time. Respect other people’s time. Please enter the hall when being invited.

“Tak payahlah lama lama borak, gelak-gelak, snap pics kat luar hall. (No need to chat, mingle and snap pics outside the hall for a long time). Yes we know you are the invitees.

“I know it’s a fashion show but that doesn’t mean everyone is allowed to be fashionably late. Don’t take the theme to heart sangat.”

KLFW will conclude on Sunday.
