KUALA LUMPUR: After her public and messy breakup with ex-fiancé and singer Sufian Suhaimi earlier this year, popular actress Elfira Loy is once again in the limelight of a new controversy.
She hinted in a post on her Instagram account yesterday that there were certain people trying to bring her down and tarnish her reputation by spreading lies about her.
She began the long post with: “If someone wants to bring down someone else, many ways will be utilised in order to make people believe in lies.”
“So confident in laying out the wrongdoing and mistakes that may or may not be the actual truth,” she added.
The cryptic post by the 24-year-old actress is believed to be a reaction to an alleged photo, which was recently found online featuring a file with her full name, Nurul Elfira Loy Ahmad Sabri, on it. Rumours had apparently spread that it was a bankruptcy notice file.
Elfira’s post continued with: “The question is, why is it so easy to throw away all of the good in one’s heart just for the sake of jealousy? How can you be so sure that the world won’t suddenly turn around against you?”
She further wrote: “We have to be aware and careful in life because the tests never happen during the times when we most expect it. Sometimes it’s there to teach us. Sometimes it’s there to elevate our position towards God’s side.”
Elfira ended the post with: “I, as usual, can only witness it and smile as I pray for the best. Because good does not come from talk but from action. So watch and see.”
