#Showbiz: Nabila's Waroeng Isabella gives out free meals to senior citizens

KUALA LUMPUR: Beginning last Tuesday, Waroeng Isabella, which is run by actress Nabila Huda Suhaimi and husband Mohd Izwan Johar, has been treating its patrons aged 60 and above with food at no charge.

The 34-year-old artiste said that the idea came about after her husband noticed that their stall, located at Rasta TTDI, had been frequented by elderly customers.

Nabila said that those in their twilight years should have their welfare be taken care of.

“Izwan said that since we have many customers of that that group, we should just treat them to free food,” she added.

She also said that at their stall, pregnant ladies would also get the privilege to jump queue.

And for their very young customers, they plan to provide free bowls of soup.

“When we opened this stall, our intention had always been to share our blessings and serve good food to our customers. I want people to come here because of the food, and not that the stall is run by me,” she said.

At the same time, Nabila insisted that the giving out of free food to the elderly was not a marketing ploy, but a sincere gesture.
