#Showbiz: Aina Abdul honoured to represent Malaysia in ABU TV Music Festival

KUALA LUMPUR: Award-winning singer Aina Abdul has just marked her first international performance representing Malaysia in the ABU TV Music Festival 2023.

The festival, in its 12th year, was organised by the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and was hosted by the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) at its KBS Hall in Seoul yesterday.

Aina performed her hit song "Terus Hidup" and received roaring applause from some 2,000 guests.

"I am so honoured to represent Malaysia internationally and have my performance viewed by millions of Koreans," she said in an Instagram post.

"It is a dream come true to entertain fans in an international event. It is also great to work with an international television production crew that is professional and world class. KBS provided translators for all of us too."

Aina also said that she hoped to penetrate the Korean music market someday.

The other singers in the festival were Tia Ray (China), Chau Kat Pui (Hong Kong), Malini Awasthi (India), Ayaka Hirahara (Jepun), Mamamoo+ (South Korea), Winifai (Macau), Sheron Silva (Sri Lanka), Annamyradow Begmyrat (Turkmenistan), Umut Sulunoglu & Ugur Onur (Turkiye) and Erik Le Trung Thanh (Vietnam).
