KUALA LUMPUR: Two people sustained serious injuries while another three suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a bus, trailer and four cars at Kilometre 29 of the Karak Highway, today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Mohd Sani Harul said the accident occurred at about 1.30pm when the vehicles were travelling towards Kuala Lumpur.
“The accident involving six vehicles including a trailer, a bus, Proton Wira, Perodua Myvi, Nissan Navara and a Peugeot...Two victims suffered serious injuries while three others sustained minor injuries from the incident,” he said when contacted.
Sani said the accident had obstructed the left lane, forcing authorities to temporarily close two lanes of the highway.
The temporary closure of the lanes had caused a three-kilometre crawl at the highway.
It was reported that the vehicles involved in the accident had been cleared and all lanes were reopened by 3.30pm.
