BALING: Three people were killed and four others were injured when the vehicles they were travelling in involved in an accident at Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE) near Jalan Baling here yesterday.
Baling Fire and Rescue Department operation chief Shuib Abu Bakar said the department received a distress called at 10.23pm and a team six firemen was dispatched to the scene.
According to Shuib, it was learnt that a Proton Wira collided with a four-wheel drive, Mitsubishi Triton, which had entered the opposite lane at the road construction site.
“Three victims aged between 20 and 60 including the Proton Wira's driver were killed and four others were injured. They were rushed to the Baling Hospital,” he said.
