KUALA SELANGOR: Two men died in an accident after the car they were travelling in collided with a 10-tonne lorry carrying live chickens along Jalan Kuala Selangor Friday night.
In the 9.30pm accident near the SMK Pengkalan Permatang, a 27-year-old man was killed on the spot while another died at the hospital, said Selangor Fire and Rescue assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul.
Eleven firemen and an officer from the Kuala Selangor and Tanjung Karang stations arrived at the scene at 9.37am, he added.
"The four victims who were seriously injured were taken out of the car by my men and rushed to the Tanjung Karang hospital. The lorry driver escaped unhurt but he fled the scene," said Sani.
