Amanah unveils 13 candidates for Sarawak polls

KUCHING: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) will field 13 candidates for the upcoming Sarawak state election.

The candidate list was announced by its deputy president Salahuddin Ayub at a press conference at a hotel here, today.

He said most of the candidates appointed are new faces and have a multi-racial composition.

The candidates who were listed are as follows:

1.Mohammad Fidzuan Zaidi (Demak Laut)

2.Nani Sahari (Semariang)

3.Abang Abdul Halil Naili (Muara Tuang)

4.Othman Mustapha (Sadong Jaya)

5.Rapelson Richard Hamit (Gedong)

6.Andrew Jain (Sebuyau)

7.Andri Zulkarnaen Hamden (Beting Maro)

8.Jini Sahini (Kabong)

9.Sufian Julaihi (Kuala Rejang)

10.Fadillah Sabali (Semop)

11.Ibrahim Bayau (Daro)

12.Kiprawi Suhaili (Jamoreng)

13.Nurzaiti Hamdan (Balingian)

Salahuddin said if there is a clash of seats between other parties which are not in Pakatan Harapan, it would be something beyond their control and would lead to a multi-cornered fight between them.

"That would be a coincidence.

"We have no problems with the other opposition parties in the Pakatan Harapan, as well as Pas.

"We have agreed on the consensus that we shall respect our friends and fight in a healthy way," he said, adding that the party is confident that they can beat Barisan Nasional despite the challenges ahead.
