BUTTERWORTH: A Myanmar national was slashed to death, while his housemate was found grievously injured at a kongsi in Jalan Estate here early this morning.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police deputy chief Superintendent Mohd Sabri Mohamed said the incident was believed to have taken place between 5am to 7.30am.
"The two men were in their 20s and there were signs of struggle and blood all over the house.
"One of the victims died at the scene while another was rushed to the Seberang Jaya Hospital here for treatment," he told reporters when met at the scene of the incident here today.
Sabri said the body of the deceased had been taken to the hospital for post mortem.
He said no suspect had been identified yet and that police was investigating the motive of the attack.
