Malacca university student crashes motorcycle into cemetery, lands on grave, dies

ALOR GAJAH: A teenage motorcyclist literally rode himself to an early grave when he crashed into a Muslim cemetery along Jalan Lendu here and fatally landed on a grave.

In the 11.15pm incident on Friday, the 19-year-old student lost control of his machine and skidded to the left side of the road.

He then crashed through the gates of the cemetery and was flung off his machine before fatally landing on a concrete grave.

The victim was identified as Muhammad Faiz Akmal Mohd Radzali, a Level One agricultural student from University College of Agroscience Malaysia in Ayer Paabas here.

A doctor certified that Muhammad Faiz died of severe head injuries.

It is learnt that he was riding his motorcycle from Ayer Paabas to Lendu.

State Traffic Department head Superintendent Mohd Sham Abdullah said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by dangerous driving.
