SHAH ALAM: Three men and a woman have been detained in connection with the murder of PKR Youth member M. Thiyahu in Seksyen 7 yesterday.
Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said the three men, aged 23, 24 and 25, and the woman, aged 20, were detained in the state capital and Klang last night.
He said the four were ordered remanded for seven days beginning today.
Fadzil said police were now looking for a fourth man, identified as M.D. Ozziram, 25, to assist investigations into the case.
“He is known as Ozzi and his last known address is in Taman Karupiah in Padang Jawa, Klang. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact investigating officer Assistant Superintendent K. Vignesh Kumar at 03-55202222,” he said in a statement.
Thiyahu, 30, was reported to have been slashed to death by three men armed with parang at 5pm on Monday.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Baharudin Mat Taib said police received a call reporting the incident about 5.15pm.
The man who made the call said the three men who attacked Thiyahu had escaped in a silver-coloured Proton Waja.
