More police reports needed over lewd viral video, says Armada

KUALA LUMPUR: More police reports should be lodged over former Community Communications (J-KOM) Department director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff's alleged involvement in the recent indecent viral clip.

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Youth wing or Armada assistant-secretary Muhammad Faiz Rahmad said there was also a need for the investigation to be expedited in order to quash speculations by irresponsible parties.

"If just one or two reports, we don't feel they are enough; we feel it should be clarified immediately because this matter, the longer (the delay) more speculations will linger.

"So there must be quick and prompt response, and it can't be delayed any longer," he said, after Armada lodged a police report on the matter at Dang Wangi police headquarters today.

Further justifying the police report, Faiz claimed the act or conversation encouraging someone to engage in "unnatural sex" was a crime in Malaysia, whether under the Penal Code or Syariah law.

"This is considered indecent and the act also violates the decency and morality of Malaysians," he said.

Faiz added that both parties, namely Agus and Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jailani, an officer in J-KOM and Youth deputy chief of the PKR (AMK) Hulu Langat, admitted that the video was genuine but the voice had been manipulated.

"The video recorder, Abdul Wahab, stated clearly yesterday that the original copy of the video was in the possession of someone known as 'Mr. H'.

"Armada Bersatu asserts that this facilitates the police's work because the video has been confirmed as genuine. Now (police) only need to obtain the original copy from Mr. H to verify the claim," he said.

Yesterday, Agus and Wahab had admitted that the clip was genuine but claimed that the audio had been doctored.

Agus also clarified this fiasco was an act of sabotage played by certain quarters in J-KOM to tarnish his reputation and added that he had lodged a police report over the matter.

Wahab also admitted that he had been lured by "Mr H" with the promise of positions to frame Agus.
