Selangor police hand over lewd viral video case to Bukit Aman

KUALA LUMPUR: Authorities have initiated an investigation into a viral video allegedly implicating former Community Communications (J-KOM) Department director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff.

The case, according to Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, has been handed over to Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigations Department (CID), led by Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain.

"We will call everyone related to this case," he said when contacted by the New Straits Times.

A clip of Agus and Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani's conversation of a sexual nature went viral recently, just hours after the J-KOM chief confirmed his resignation.

Both of them had denied the authenticity of the video, claiming that the audio had been doctored by someone they identified as Mr.H.

Abdul Wahab, who is also a staff at J-KOM, claimed he was lured by Mr. H through promises of positions in the government if he was willing to frame Agus.

He claimed that he was instructed to record a video conversation with Agus to obtain evidence of Agus' involvement in immoral and illicit activities.
