Wahab can identify the real 'Mr H' - police

KUALA LUMPUR: The real identity and the role of the mysterious persona behind the "doctored" lewd clip of former Community Communications (J-KOM) Department Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff and his staff Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani is yet to be identified, even after the alleged "Mr H" statement was taken yesterday.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said that the police are still waiting for Wahab to step forward and assist with the investigation.

"(Identity) of Mr H is still a mystery as the police are yet to meet Wahab. After Wahab had confirmed the identity of Mr H, only then we can be positive about Mr H identity," he told reporters in a press conference at the Police Headquarters in Bukit Aman, here.

Shuhaily further urged Wahab to report himself to the police to help with the investigation and advised the latter not to worry about his safety.

He also confirmed that Wahab has yet to lodge a police report over the matter.

"No police report has been made over two groups of anonymous individuals threatening Wahab safety," Shuhaily said when asked about the two separate groups allegedly threatening Wahab, as claimed by the latter's lawyer, recently.

Shuhaily also said that the police have taken four statements form four individuals including Agus, Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaning blogger Che'gu Bard or Badrul Hisham Shaharin, alleged "Mr H, and a hotel staff where the press conference was held.

Yesterday, it was reported that police have recorded a statement from the mysterious 'Mr H', accused of being the mastermind behind an allegedly doctored video clip of a lewd exchange involving the former Community Communications (J-KOM) Department director-general and an aide.

Speaking to reporters, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the interrogation was done yesterday morning.
