Six nurses injured, two seriously, in SUV crash on NSE

GURUN: Six nurses from the Sik Hospital were injured – two of them, seriously – when the Toyota Fortuner they were in overturned at Km70.3 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) (northbound), early this morning.

According to Guar Chempedak Fire Station operation commander, Safuwan Md Saad, the victims were heading to Alor Setar to attend a course when the car skidded, rammed into the road divider and turned turtle at 7.53am.

"A team of firemen was deployed at 7.54am, and arrived at the scene 19 minutes later.

"The team found that three of the victims had been rushed to hospital by members of the public," he said when contacted.
