Negri Sembilan youths all geared up for TN50

PORT DICKSON: Jobs security, quality of life, unity among races, security and better education - those are some of the aspirations Negri Sembilan youths hope to be included in the 2050 National Transformation (TN50).

Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the state government is doing all it can to ensure that the state will become a developed state by 2050.

"The state is listening to all the feedback from the youths to be formulated into a game plan for the betterment of everyone in the state and country by 2050," Mohamad told some 1,000 university students from all over the state at a TN50 forum here.

Among the views given by some of the students included turning Negri Sembilan into a food producer for the Klang Valley and beefing up Port Dickson as a world class tourism hub.

Held at the Port Dickson Politeknik, the forum was moderated by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

Khairy said TN50 is a shared vision among Malaysians especially the youths to elevate the country to a higher position by 2050 and the feedback gathered here will be added with views coming from other states in Malaysia.
