Firemen rescue woman with foot stuck in squat toilet

SHAH ALAM: A 37-year-old woman, who was about to relieve herself, accidently slipped and fell in the squat toilet at home.

Kamariah Majid of Jalan Bunga Raya 2 in Kampung Batu Caves had to endure immense pain as her right leg was stuck up to her ankle in the 8.50am incident.

Thankfully, she was rescued by a team of eight firefighters from the Selayang Fire and Rescue Department.

Following a distress call at 8.58am, the operations led by commander Mohd Kasirin Ibrahim.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations management chief Alimaddia Bukri said his men took 20 minutes to remove Kamariah’s leg from the squat toilet.

“My men had to break the squat toilet using rescue tools to free her leg. She was then sent to the Selayang Hospital,” he said.

Two personnel Selayang Emergency Medical Rescue Services and three medical assistants from the Selayang Hospital were also involved in the operation.
