PUTRAJAYA :The Election Commission (EC) has clarified that a viralled video showing an election official taking out ballot papers from polling centres on Saturday was an old post.
Checks by EC showed that the video which went viral on social media was an old video uploaded during the 13th General Election.
“The video had previously gone viral on social media such as YouTube and Facebook from May 4 to 7, 2013, and it was circulated again to create a fuss among people.
“EC would like to advise people not to simply believe in any messages or visuals that had gone viral and spread them on social media,” EC said in a statement, today.
