DAP's top brass meet with PM on Cabinet posts

PUTRAJAYA: Several members of DAP’s top brass arrived at the Perdana Leadership Foundation this morning for a meeting with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The group comprised the party’s senior leader Lim Kit Siang; secretary-general Lim Guan Eng; deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo; and National Organisation secretary Anthony Loke.

It is learnt that they spent nearly an hour with the prime minister discussing, among others issues, the list of names proposed by DAP for Cabinet posts.

The four DAP leaders left the foundation at about 9.55am, but declined to make any statement to reporters stationed at the egress gate.

Dr Mahathir is expected to leave the foundation at 11am to attend a meeting on the Royal pardon of PKR de-facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Istana Negara. -- Reporting by Manirajan Ramasamay, Azura Abas, Mohd Husni Mohd Noor, Irwan Shafrizan Ismail
