Nilai: A Nigerian student was killed and a woman sustained light injuries in an accident at Jalan Semarak near Taman Semarah here, today.
In the 8.15am incident, the male student from a private college in Kuala Lumpur, in his 20s, died on the spot due to severe head injuries.
It was learnt that the deceased’s car, which was travelling from Taman Semarak to Nilai town had skidded and hit the road divider, before it was thrown to the opposite lane and crashed into another car.
Nilai Fire and Rescue Department operation officer, Khairollizal Abu Kasim said, a team from the department was deployed to the location after receiving an emergency call at 8.30am.
“A medical team from Nilai health clinic was also deployed to the scene and the victim was pronounced dead by a medical officer. The other victim, a 39-year-old woman however sustained light injuries,” he said adding that both victims were brought to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital.
