DUNGUN: A company technician cheated death after his car rammed into a house at Km 97, Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan, near Paka, today.
In the incident at about 8.30am, the victim, Mohd Izat A.Rahman, 28, from Gelugor Kedai, Kuala Terengganu, suffered injuries on his head and body, and was rushed to Dungun Hospital for treatment.
According to a source, the victim was driving his Toyota Vios from Kuala Terengganu to his workplace in Kertih, Kemaman.
He said Izat lost control of car and crashed into the wooden house.
"The car was stuck under the house. The house owner who had just left his office at Paka, rushed home when he was informed about the incident," he said.
Meanwhile, Dungun District Police Chief, Superintendent Baharudin Abdullah confirmed receiving a report on the incident.
He said the wet and slippery road condition was believed to have caused the driver to lose control of his vehicle and skidded.
"We advise road users not to speed, especially when it rains, to avoid accidents," he said.
