KUANTAN: A couple was killed and their three children were injured in an accident at KM134 Jalan Kuantan/Seremban this morning.
The dead are identified as Muhammad Noor Idham Ramli, 31, and Surawati Mohd, 33. Muhammad Noor died at the scene, while Surawati was pronounced dead at Muadzam Shah Hospital at 8am.
Their children, Areesh Razeen, Aryan Rizqy and Arfaan Rakeen suffered minor injuries and are being treated at the same hospital.
Pahang Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Superintendent Kamarulzaman Jusoh said the family who were in a Perodua Myvi driven by Muhammad Noor, was headed towards Seremban from Kuantan.
He said based on initial investigations, the Myvi was believed to have entered the opposite lane and crashed into a lorry at 5am.
He said the 43-year-old lorry driver, Md Kamarudin Ibrahim suffered minor injuries.
