Body of man found in a drain along Duke

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have found a dead body of a man in a drain at the Duta Ulu-Kelang Expressway (Duke).

Gombak district acting police chief Superintendent Abang Kader Abang Wasli in a statement said the fully clothed body was found at Kilometre 5.1 of the highway heading towards Sentul.

"The police received a MERS 999 call reporting that a body of unknown race had been found.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that there was a fully clothed body found in the drain in a prone position and examination confirmed that the victim was a 34-year-old local man."

He said they also found injuries on the victim's legs and body.

"Belongings believed to be owned by the victim such as a helmet, trousers, mobile phone, and wallet were also found at the scene.

"The body was then sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem."

Abang Kader added that the case has been classified as sudden death.

He also advised members of the public who witnessed or have information about this incident are requested to come forward to assist in the investigation.
