KUALA LUMPUR: The actions of a woman, believed to be a tourist who defecated in the yard of a homestay in Cameron Highlands has angered netizens.
The incident sparked disgust among the public with one even saying that even pets know how to cover up the place where they pass motion.
Her action was captured by closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the homestay. It showed the woman walking around the compound before squatting down. Another woman who was with her shielded her while she was doing the deed.
They were then seen leaving the woman's feces on the road before hastily leaving the location.
The video uploaded by user @MALAYSIAVIRALL on X (formerly Twitter), has received more almost 200,000 views on the social media platform.
Netizens were perplexed by the woman's lack of civil consciousness and hygiene.
"Even cats know how to cover their poop, how can you just do your business in the middle of the road? There's literally a drain there," user @Syakirdanial6 said.
Another user who goes by the handle @iam_ein said with a little common sense, the woman could have chosen a different location with proper drainage instead in the middle of the yard.
@FahmieizzRahman said he did not understand how people could do such a thing.
"I swear I don't understand these people, how are you comfortable walking around after that?" he said.
