Pahang BN's manifesto will be realistic, achievable: Adnan

PEKAN: Pahang Barisan Nasional (BN) is fine tuning its manifesto for the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14), to meet the needs of all level of society.

State BN chairman Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said the promises to be listed in the manifesto will be realistic and achievable.

"We have to be realistic and ensure we can fulfill all our promises. We will not make promises just to make us popular.

"For example, promising to build futsal courts in all the villages in Pahang. How many villages are there in Pahang? What will be the cost? Anyone can make promises but what is more important is to fulfill them," he said after attending a meet-the-people programme at Kampung Pahang Tua here today.

Adnan said a special team is working on the manifesto that contains initiatives to assist the people.

"The manifesto includes housing, education, welfare, basic facilities, human capital and youth development which will benefit people from various race and age groups.

"Pahang BN has already drafted and prepared the manifesto but we felt there is need to scrutinise it further. This move is to ensure no one if left out and enjoy the benefits from the manifesto," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the list of candidates, Adnan said the matter had discussed with the MCA and MIC presidents to pick suitable candidate to contest.

"I told them not to choose those who are liked by the people." he said before handing out RM200 monthly aid to 24 paddy farmers at the area.
