Bank with a heart does exist

LETTERS: After a lapse of three months, I felt the need to go to the bank to attend to personal matters. It was on June 1, to be precise.

Business is back to the good old times with many restrictions lifted. So I wasn't expecting special treatment although I am a senior citizen.

After parking my car and taking a slow walk, I noticed that there was a queue outside the bank. I told myself: "Oh dear! It's going to be a long wait."

I decided to go to the entrance and take a chance. An elderly security guard was there, and I politely told him that I am a senior citizen and asked if there was a different queue for people like me.

To my pleasant surprise, he immediately directed me to the customer service counter. I got to see the officer-in-charge within minutes, and he gave me a ticket when he found out I was a senior citizen.

It was only a matter of time before my number, 1011, was flashed on the screen. I happily went to counter 2.

The teller, a lass, attended to my needs in a professional manner, and it was all over a short while later. Too good to be true.

I wish to thank the management of CIMB at Bukit Tinggi, Klang for the privilege given to senior citizens like me.

Many thanks to the security staff, the customer service officer and the lady at counter 2 for making my day. Credit where credit's due.

It's good to know there are banks that still have a heart for senior citizens. A caring society in line with the spirit of Keluarga Malaysia does exist.
